Nice Place, Good Food, Repetitive Music,

If you're looking for a nice dinner or you're looking to relax with a couple of drinks in a place that's downtown near work, your convention, or other near other gay nightlife action spots this is a great place. The food is good to great. The service is good. The prices are reasonable. The clientele is mixed male and female but tends to lean more toward couples especially during dinner time and the early evening. It's not a "meat market". It's also not geared toward the younger set. The staff tends to run from their early 20s and up but the clients trend older. A mixed 30s-40s crowd with a few outliers seems typical. Parking very nearby has never been a problem after the 9 to 5ers go home.
The Vines one true con is that, unless you're really into techno music, it's not a place you can stand to hang out for hours. There's no dance floor but the music plays loudly and non-stop on TV monitors throughout. Every song sounds like every other and the video even all looks the same. You won't even recognize songs when it's supposedly say, Madonna, playing. This must have something to do with the staff and their average age because it has never struck me that the other clients were even remotely interested. No one ever seems to look at the monitors and actually seems to try to ignore them.
