Historic/Great crowd!, May 24, 2009

The lounge/bar downstairs is large and comfortable. Drinks are fairly strong. The Upstairs area is smaller and made for dancing. One bar upstairs and can get very crowded.
Fun place to go people watching and to dance.
The crowd is a variety: 20-40 something, twinks, jocks, hairy men, and average joes.
Cover varies by night. Nicely remodeled.
40th Anniversary of stonewall riots at this location June 2009.
Home to the Gay pride movement. Historical and a must see on any visit to NYC!

The newly renovated and legendary Stonewall Inn is alive and very well, thank you. The paneling is gorgeous, the booths wide and comfy, and the bar is large and spacious, plenty of room to hang with friends or meet new ones.
