Not what it used to be,

Woody's used to be one of the more popular bars, but in the past several years things have really changed. The place hasn't been renovated in years and it is starting to show it's age. Drinks are fairly expensive and there is usually a cover charge for the dance floor area. They mostly play rap and hip hop music at woody's.

If you don't know Philly, then relax because I have the real tip for you. What you need to do is go to Woody's from 11pm until 145am, then walk 30 feet to PURE afterhours (open 1am until 315am...but no one arrives at PURE before 130). Woody's has a downstairs, and an upstairs. Downstairs features two bars, small televisions with fun music videos, piped in music, and a place to sit and chill. Upstairs has one bar where people stand, and then a dance floor area with two bars. The dance floor is the place to be. Dancing or watching, everyone can feel comfortable there. Fri and Sat nights feature go go dancers using poles, it's kinda funny. Music Fri and Sat night is Top 40 (hot dance/rap songs, gay faves like Pink, Madonna, etc). Drinks are strong and cheap. Cover is 5 bucks sat night for the dance floor, so no worries there. Have fun guys!
