It is a Leather Levi BD S&M fetish bar. It does advertised directly to and for men; however, anyone who has been able to adjust to show even a little respect for the leather lifestyle and protocols has and will be welcomed. Men, women, drag queens, CD, TG, Bi are all welcome as long as they behave with the appropriate etiquette that this kind of fetish bar calls for. It is not a place for cologne or perfume drenched individuals nor obnoxiously loud drama queens. There are other establishments within the community that accept those things. You wouldn't go to McDonalds and and expect to order pizza. If you are just visiting the leather levi scene and you give respect you'll get respect. It doesn't mean you agree with all that you see. It just means you have enough decency in yourself for others around you that you can tolerant of the environment you have willfully chosen to be a spectator to.

This bar doesn't advertise for women and drag queens to come in...it advertises for men, leather and levis to patronize. If you don't like that, don't go. It's a great MANS bar..nothing more, nothing less. You won't find a drag show here, and that's the best part about it.

The Ripcord not only discriminates against women entering their bar, but also drag queens. I have heard that before, but some drag queen friends of mine, we NOT allowed to enter. How pathetic is that?!?!?!!!! This from a venue where illegal sex acts in public is allowed, but not paying patrons. How shameful!!!

This place is dreary and full of bitter old guys.
