Great Urban dance Music,

Great night club...a place for people of all ages/gender, etc. who like to dance to urban club music. The only place around the area unless you to to DC. Music comparable to XM radio THE BEAT or AREA. Most everyone is casually dressed, but SHOULD dress to impress. I am a straight female just wanting to dance . This is a a Gay/Lesbian atmosphere and I couldn't feel more welcome. Great place to shake your stress away. Cheap cover/drinks. Place could use alot more people on Sat. night...bring your friends...esp. straight handsome guys.

This place totally sucks. The lesbian bartender is horrible and has to look up every drink. The dj is so old and wouldn't know good music if it hit him in the ass. The crowd is nothing but rednecks and old men and mean ass lesbians. Do not waste your time here. It's a shame because there is no other place to go now.

Deer Park Lodge has finally found its way home again. Starting with the price of admission, to the sound of its music. Drinks are cheap and more importantly, the staff is friendly. Over the years DPL had gone down hill, the music was for the younger generation, and shows were vulgar. The last couple of months, the music is right on, the crowd is becoming open for us middle aged people and finally, DPL reminds me of the good ole days. If you are 45 and older, come on out and give it a shot, you won't be disappointed and you will have a good time. Ladies, come on on the 28th and lets get down and have a great time. John is doing fantastic as the dj. It is the good ole days again.

Hey finally the truth. Deer park did not fire the staff and get rid of the drags. The staff left and the manager lied to a lot of them and said they were fired!! If they left on their own why all the bitterness get on with your lives. Guess the free drinks are gone for the guy from Frederick OH WELL I suppose you not coming out really doesn't hurt too their business too much. It's the people that make a bar and Deer Park has always been there for all Gays even in slow times remember the lost years it was closed, We are suppose to be a community that supports each other and look what the previous Deer Park associates are doing to YOUR community. Hope they make it for all of us.

Wow has it changed!! The person that wrote the last review is most likely one of the owners or the idiotic staff that work there. Yes it has changed from what I've been told the entire staff quit due to lack of respect of the owners, specifically one particular one. It's pretty sad when I go to the bar, under this new incompetent staff and order a Rolling Rock(a beer) and the female bartender asks me what's in it!! Come on people!
And I have been to 2 of the newly and improved drag shows and must say they were the sorriest things I've ever seen! Save your money and go someplace else.

Wow! DeerPark has changed since last I been. Much better than it has been. I finally got waited on when I wanted a drink and did not have to call for the bartender. All the bartenders are nice and friendly. So if you haven't been up in a while give it another shot. The music was different both Saturdays I went. The dj did not play a cd with the same music over and over.
